'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL'

This was sent to me in an email. It is so apropos since 9/11 was yesterday. If you have any belief that there is something or someone who is watching over us all, (God or who ever it is for you), Then you will find this very in lighting. There is another part of this email that I find very wearisome, so think long and hard about what you are reading.


'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL'

You say you will never forget where you were when
you heard the news On September 11, 2001.
Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room
with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I
held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the
peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it
is OK..I am ready to go.'

I was with his wife when he called as she fed
breakfast to their children. I held her up as she
tried to understand his words and as she realized
he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a
woman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been
knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said.
'Of course I will show you the way home - only
believe in Me now.'

I was at the base of the building with the Priest
ministering to the injured and devastated souls.
I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He
heard my voice and answered.

I was on all four of those planes, in every seat,
with every prayer. I was with the crew as they
were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the
believers there, comforting and assuring them that their
faith has saved them.

I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan .
I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news.
Did you sense me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew
every name - though not all know me. Some met Me
for the first time on the 86th floor.

Some sought me with their last breath.
Some couldn’t hear Me calling to them through the
smoke and flames; ‘Come to Me... This way... take
my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.

I did not place you in the Tower that day. You
may not know why, but I do.. However, if you were
there in that explosive moment in time, would you have
reached for me?

Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey
for you. But someday your journey will end. And I
will be there for you as well. Seek me now while I may
be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are
'ready to go.'

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

If you look closely at the picture above, you will note that all the Marines pictured are bowing their heads. That's because they're praying. This incident took place at a recent ceremony honoring the birthday of the corps, and it has the ACLU up in arms. 'These are federal employees,' says Lucius Traveler, a spokesman for the ACLU, 'on federal property and on federal time. For them to pray is clearly an establishment of religion, and we must nip this in the bud immediately.' When asked about the ACLU's charges, Colonel Jack Fessender, speaking for the Commandant of the Corps said (cleaned up a bit), 'Screw the ACLU.' GOD Bless Our Warriors, Send the ACLU to France. May God Bless America, One Nation Under GOD! What's wrong with the picture? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Let us never forget 9/11 our what this country was founded on. Each individual’s faith in any GOD you choose.
I personally think that this country is in the mess that it is because of the ACLU. They have taken God and control of bad behavior out of the schools. Gave criminals more rights than honorable citizen along with giving rights to people who don’t belong here in our country.

Last night I listen to everything Obama had to say. I agreed with a lot of his ideas. But I have to say he is a dreamer. I still can’t see how this health care reform is going to be paid for? In the last part of his plan about if you can’t afford health care he will offer a public plan that will be made available. He spoke about his polling plan, if you could afford that you can join that one. The public plan would cover all illegal aliens and anyone else who are fee loaders here from other countries including the terrorist. I can’t see how we could stop this from happening.
The idea of making a co-op is a great idea. Have all insurance companies compete for the millions of people coverage’s. The more people the cover the lest like that their pay out would cost because of the sear numbers. The control of finding cancer or other disease in their beginning stages will help cut down on treating them later stages which would cost more. It’s like the brokers that represent car insurance, life, homeowners, that take your information and get the best price for their clients.
This brokerage would be free of government control however follow the government guild lines. We could also have this available to everyone including business large and small for a small sum, just as I have spoken about before. The sum of $25.00 per person, (Children would be excluded because they still would be covered under the planes that exist now), in this country would cover everyone with the quality of heath care that our president receives. This amount would be paid half by us and half by company you work for or by Social Security, Unemployment. Or any other social plan that you are on. All insurance companies would be required to participate in the co-op and could not change any coverage that is in place.
The one thing that no one has spoken about is controlling the absurd law suites that lawyers bring against doctor. It was sort of mention in passing last night but not in detail. There is were the big problem lies. We need to get that under control to get down the cost. Believe me I have no real love for doctors. They killed my wife and I can’t do anything about it. If I could I agree to a settlement of my wife times the years of her life according to today’s statistic. That’s the way lawsuits should work. No one should get rich of someone death.
Another control we need is on the pharmaceutical industry. Why do we pay more than Europe and other countries for our medicine? This industry should be place under some kind or control to make sure we are not charged more.
I wish the president luck with his fight for heath care. I am one who needs him to win but not at any cost. I am neither Republican or Demarcate I am American and I want wants best for all American’s and no one else.

Even though I don’t believe in receiving and send emails right away because of bad luck or other wise. This email makes a lot of sense, especially since I kind of lived through it. You never know when your last day will be, so live every day as your last. Pass this on to everyone you love or care about.

TAKE HOLD OF EVERY MOMENT


A friend of mine opened his wife's underwear drawer and picked up a silk paper wrapped package:

"This, - he said - isn't any ordinary package."
He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box.

"She got this the first time we went to New York, 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on. Was saving it for a special occasion.
Well, I guess this is it. He got near the bed and placed the gift box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral house, his wife had just died. He turned to me and said:

"Never save something for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion".
I still think those words changed my life.
Now I read more and clean less.
I sit on the porch without worrying about anything.
I spend more time with my family, and less at work.
I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through. I no longer keep anything. I use crystal glasses every day. I'll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it.
I don't save my special perfume for special occasions; I use it whenever I want to. The words "Someday..." and "One Day..." are fading away from my dictionary. If it's worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now. I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she knew she wouldn't be there the next morning, this nobody can tell. I think she might have called her relatives and closest friends.
She might call old friends to make peace over past quarrels. I'd like to think she would go out for Chinese, her favorite food. It's these small things that I would regret not doing, if I knew my time had come.
I would regret it; because I would no longer see the friends I would meet, letters... letters that I wanted to write "One of this days".
I would regret and feel sad, because I didn't say to my brothers and sons, not times enough at least, how much I love them.
Now, I try not to delay, postpone or keep anything that could bring laughter and joy into our lives.
And, on each morning, I say to myself that this could be a special day.
Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.
If you got this, it's because someone cares for you and because, probably, there's someone you care about.
If you're too busy to send this out to other people and you say to yourself that you will send it "One of these days", remember that "One day" is far away... or might never come...
